Dr. Paviour is a provisional member of the Expert Witness Institute since December 2013, and has been taking a variety of medico-legal instructions in the past year year (both Civil and Criminal)/
Dr. Pavior completed the BMA course on acting as a medical expert witness and more recently has completed a course on Civil proceedings and report writing run by ProSols (MEDICO-LEGAL REPORT WRITING IN CIVIL CLAIMS (CORE SKILLS) and is up to date with the latest CPR guidance and the Woolf reforms.
General Neurology Experience
Dr. Paviour sees approximately 1200 new and 2000 follow up patients per annum. These patients have a broad range of acute and chronic neurological problems. The commonest neurological disorders of adult life include headache, cerebrovascular disease (strokes and TIA), seizures and epilepsy, disorders of balance and dizziness, disorders of movement including tremor, inflammatory, infectious and degenerative disorders of the nervous system and he see’s patients with these disorders every week.
Sub-specialist interest
Dr. Paviour is the clinical lead for the movement disorders service at St George’s Hospital NHS Trust in South West London. He has a specialist interest in Parkinson’s disease and other degenerative causes of Parkinsonism and the advanced medical treatment of these disorders.
